Why don't diets work? And what if the problem isn't you at all?
Time after time, we're promised the same thing:
- "Lose 5 kg in a month"
- "Follow this diet and you'll see results"
- "Just cut out carbs"
- "I've got the method that'll change your life"
And we buy into it.
Because we want a solution — and we want it now.
But here's the truth nobody likes to talk about:
A diet is usually a temporary fix for a problem that needs lasting change.
You can stick with it for two weeks, a month, maybe even three.
But if the meal plan you were handed doesn't fit your life, your family, your job, your body, your tastes and your day-to-day reality — what happens when the diet is "over"?
You slip back into your old habits.
And then the sense of failure kicks in:
- "I have no willpower"
- "I can never stick to anything"
- "Nothing ever works for me"
But maybe you're not the problem.
Maybe you've just been sold, over and over, a solution that was never sustainable to begin with.
And here's the part I think we really need to talk about:
The diet industry profits from our hope.
From our wish to feel better fast, to see a lower number on the scale, and from the promise that "this time it'll be different".
And when it doesn't last, there's always another diet, another meal plan, another product, another program.
But real change shouldn't feel like a punishment.
It should teach you how to eat in a way that works for you — a year from now, on vacation, at Friday night dinner and on your busiest days.
- No going hungry.
- No being afraid of food.
- No living with a constant sense of "I'm not allowed".
Instead, a relationship with food you can actually live with.
And this is where I come in ❤️
This is exactly what I do. Instead of handing you another diet that lasts a few weeks, I give you real tools for life.
- How to build balanced meals.
- How to choose good ingredients.
- How to eat well even when you're short on time.
- How to plan ahead without turning your kitchen into a second job.
- How to tailor what you eat to your body, your tastes and your needs.
- And how to build habits you can actually keep.
Because the goal isn't to be "on a diet".
The goal is to get to a point where you don't need a diet anymore.
That kind of change goes much deeper — and it's the real thing.
If you want to learn how to actually do it, I'm here to help. 🌿
